1:00 PM EST. Here’s a rundown of the Blue Bombers last four road games, all losses: 37-14 in Hamilton, 48-25 in Saskatchewan, 25-7 in Edmonton and finally 38-11 in Calgary last week. Not only are these Blue Bombers 2-12 and a complete train wreck, but they traded CFL sacks leader Alex Hall to Saskatchewan this past week for an injured offensive lineman and a draft pick. Winnipeg’s coach, Tim Burke said this week that his team has "personnel deficiencies”. Burke went on to say, "I think it would be tough for anybody to handle what we've gone through. I believe the team has competed hard every week. We've put forth the energy necessary to be a competitive team. Nobody has ever given up. We were just not good enough." When does a coach say we’re not good enough? Burke has switched QB’s almost every week from Max Hall to Justin Goltz to Jason Boltus. When one inevitably fails, Burke leaves another one out to dry. There is no stability at QB and the receivers have had to adjust to a different one almost every week. It’s no wonder the Blue Bombers are a dead team, as they are led by a coach that has thrown in the towel by saying, “we’re not good enough”. Winnipeg, with an alarming turnover rate now has to play an early game against a team that is peaking and seeking revenge from a 19-11 home loss to these Bombers three months ago. For the Als, losing to these turkeys from Winninpeg again at this point in the season is not an option.
Josh Neiswander has taken over as the starting quarterback in Montreal and has looked sharp, particularly in a 47-24 win last week in Edmonton. He has thrown only one interception in his last three games. The Alouettes defense has also been especially effective, leading the league against the run and featuring an aggressive pass rush that has led to them leading in interceptions with 22. The Als locker room is filled with motivation and excitement, as they have turned a tough start into a potentially outstanding finish. The Als are looking better each week and seek their first three-game win streak of the season. This host can’t wait to get back on the field while the Blue Bombers can’t wait for this season to end and the result figures to be another blowout loss by the Bombers.Comment -
