#6Shows up now. Very cool pics blitty!
Looks like it's behind glass? When I went to Musée d'Orsay in Paris, I was amazed to see all these classics on the walls, totally unprotected, including a couple of the famous Van Gogh self-portraits - a deranged individual could've knifed the paintings well before security could have a chance to catch him. Makes me think that they mostly hang reproductions on walls.Comment -

#8I don't think this is the most valuable painting in the world though. I think another Van Gogh (Starry Night ??) and some Picassos and Klimts have fetched more than 50 mil. Maybe Pollock and Dali too.Comment -

#12I love Dali. I am currently drinking coffee from my favorite mug which has The Disintegration of The Persistence of Memory on it. A friend of mine got it for me. Not in Spain though. It's from the Salvadore Dali Museum in St. Petersburgh, Florida.
I didn't clue in right away that this thread was about your travels. That's why I started rambling about the most valuable paintings. These are cool pics.Comment -

#13The most expensive paining was done by Jackson Pollock.
It sold for $149.7 million in 2006. The name of the painting is "No. 5, 1948."Comment -

#17Pollock may have done the most expensive painting to date but he will never be able to match Dali in terms of how sharp he looks with a dolphin on his head.Comment -
