I was supposed to drop off my big manilla envelope of info off this week to my accountant friend today after his church... I missed him though... now i'm worried...

My girlfriend did her own damn taxes for free at turbo tax in about 40 mins and is getting 470+ back.... that pisses me off

Chi, I did my online and signed up for direct deposit, suppose to have the money in two weeks, just finished them this past Wednesday. If you are getting a refund and want it fast I would e-file.

been getting all my 1099s together this week and sending out 1099s. about got it all together.
my sister in law is an accountant so she handles all my stuff.
last year I owed about 18K, this year I should get some back since I havent made much and can just about write off all my income.

What are these income taxes of which you speak? I haven't filed one of those in five years. Paid my property tax already, though. Why does it always arrived just a couple days before Christmas? I hate that...

Medical cannabis, BTJ. The government of California, in their infinite wisdom, made it legal to possess with a doctor's prescription, but didn't see fit to find a way to tax it. I'm just going with the flow until they change their mind.

to people understand the money refunded was their money to begin with. the govt just borrowed it without paying you interest on it during the year.

I pay each year and not looking forward to it this year. Being a business owner and working with State funded money it is a hassle during tax time each quarter. Not fun at all, thank god I have a very good accountant to handle for me.

We filed two weeks ago and got direct deposit yesterday.

$24,000 refund Fedral and $375.00 State

Using it next week to put as down payment on a new home.

How do the "PRO BETTORS" even file taxes if all they do is this?
I know my wife will ask me that one day (assuming I ever get to that point)
