sits his ace who won 18 games and had a 2.65 era for a kid with 12 major league games pitched.

Why? This is not a surprise at all. Leyland pimp slapped Melvin in game four. Tonight Melvin took his pants down before the game to get his ass whipped by Leyland!

this thread is ridiculous.
Colon throws pure fastballs(and Tigers bats were coming around #1). #2 it was clear in his start the season had taken a toll on his old arm that has a ton of miles on it. #3 for a guy that had incredible command all season long, he was all over the place, that's number sign of dead arm.
Gray was right decision.

dead arm? last 6 games of the season the guy gave up 5 ER...
i know oakland hasn't scored and it wouldn't matter, i just think it's funny that a manager drops his ace that had an All Star year for a guy who has 12 games on his resume.
**i am also bitter that i lost my series bet**

cmon its clear Colon is a roid head who was out of gas. Gray made Detroit look ridiculous at the plate with his arsenal of pitches his first start.
he was completely composed. nothing wrong here.

Gray's start today wasn't much different than Colon's first start.. Colon had one bad inning..Gray was lucky not to give up more than the 2. But, zero runs don't win ball games.

Gray will go down as the loser in the elimination game. One legged mvp of baseball took him to the woodshed for a beating
