I have trouble backing this Oakland lineup, besides Coco Crisp, A's are batting a dismal .140 w/ RISP these playoffs, Tigers get to see Gray now for the second time. Look what happened to Gerrit Cole last night facing the Cardinals lineup for a second time. I see many people talking about how Verlander has not been sharp this year, understandable, but Verlander in his last 3 starts allowed just 18 base runners with 33 strikeouts, an average of 15.63 Ks for every 9 innings of work. Coupled with this Detroit lineup that seemingly got some of their bats back in game 4.
I never bet against this A's team @ home during the regular season, but all I see about this line is the books trying to get even distribution, I don't see how the Tigers lose this given the situation. I mean no offense.

cole gave up 3 hits and 2 runs that being the homerun. i think he pitched pretty well besides the one mistake to postseason legend david friese. det's problem is the top of the lineup and how pathetic they have been. IF those guys get going then det should have an easy night. verlander has worried me all year. it seems everytime i bet on him he shits the bed. but if he is going to step up i would "think" tonight is the night. he is more seasoned and experienced than gray and the crowd should be no issue. if i was leyland i would def sit avila, have martinez catch, let miggy dh and get someone else in there. avila's bat is terrible and miggy at third is a huge liability. good luck to all. im prob staying away.
