Unless you're talking about Dusty Baker then I don't want to hear about baseball manager having an effect on a team. Dusty Baker is the only manager who has ever turned the manager position that has minimal effect on a baseball team to a position that cost his teams playoff series.

Bobby Cox won a World Series title as a manager. Dusty Baker had a much better SF Giant team lost it because of him, Cubs lost Marlins series because of him, and now the Reds collapsed with him as a manager. Dusty Baker has a record of losing important games on multiple teams, because of his managerial skills.

Yeah it's easy to be the arm chair QB at times. Been hearing what morons Mattingly, Melvin, Leyland are around here lately. But bottom line they are big league skippers while we despairingly punch a clock everyday at unfulfilling jobs for the most part. You can never win as a coach/manager. If you have a loaded team and win it's the players, if you fall short it's the coach. Lol bottom line players play and have more impact than the skipper at all times!

Point is banker these guys know the physical and mental state of their guys more than any of us. Far as in game adjustments being questioned.
