It is f**king a manager in baseball unless your talking about Dusty Baker I don't want to hear it. Coaching is hard being a baseball manager is easy.

Successful baseball manager:
Know how to train and practice
Pull guys when they get over a 100 pitches unless no-hitter, perfect game, or if they are in the final years of their MLB career
Know your pitcher and when they are tired
Have a stat sheet of each batter and what they do and don't like so if you replace a pitcher you know what ones to replace with
Lineup fast guys who have a high average 1st and 2nd spot. Best batters who can hit the long ball 3rd and 4th if don't have a great batter to put in the 2nd spot put those two guys at 2nd and 3rd. Clean up batter high average 5th spot. 6th-9th whatever works. In NL home games make sure the 8th batter is fast so the pitcher can bunt.
Take advice from a former player who is smart about how to position your infield and outfield.

Baseball manager is the best job. The crappiest manager in sports got The Reds to 90 wins this season and Dusty Baker was still a f**k up who cost them games.
