Not true sir! The act its self is not illegal,

The funding of the account is whats illegal, most people just assume because they say its illegal that the betting part is, when it really is the banking of your gambling! The UIEGA is all related to banking and not poker/sports betting its self!

              1) then why is there a line on it at willhill?

              2) if i am not mistaken online gambling violates the illegal wire act from the 1930's, yes it rarely gets prosecuted, but they do prosecute on occasions.

              3) the point of the article is that it will be as legal as betting on horse races are in america, betting , funding , etc.

I agree with you wtf, with that sports wagering is illegal online/live except in a Nevada gaming casino!

But if you read the UIEGA it has nothing to do with being able to bet/play poker. Has everything to do with Bank activity

The problem with why it wont pass in my mind is it will cost the banks way to much money to monitor every transaction. Meaning more man power updated software ect

Also it is an illegal wire act and it almost never gets prosecuted other than the fact people moving big amounts for money have to be careful! Kinda like jaywalking, at any moment you can get a ticket but how many of us have actually done it tens upon hundreds of times and nothing happens?

If the government was smart they would make it legal, tax it, and maybe we would be a little less in debit, but im sure the country needs people to keep breaking the law for whatever reason.

reno, you have a great point

but i think you will see states itching for new revenue streams, and it will be a domino effect for sure

california cannot even make good on tax refunds, this is serious stuff
