Does a team ever win playing Prevent Defense?
Honestly, every single game I have ever seen if a team needs a FG to tie/win with 2 mins left in the 4th about 99% of the time they at least get a quality attempt at it. It's like the offense is all of a sudden unstoppable. Why did Atlanta change their defensive scheme?

The old idiom is almost always proven correct: the prevent defense only prevents you from winning

I suggest they hold a rookie QB on the road in check. Dumbass

Cover defenses are less effective now because they use mostly man in college. Players these days aren't good in cover defenses.

It's bigger than that too. I wish I capped coaches who pull this shit in college mostly.

These assholes that play not to lose when they got the lead. They absolutely abandon the exact reason they are ahead, get back into this defensive posture - run clock bullshit, and end up holding their dick in their hand wondering what happened when the clock strikes 00:00

Play to win the game. The Jets weren't getting many over the top anyway, it was chunk yardage over the middle almost exclusively. The idea to give them that seems flawed to say the least.

Still very early, but Mike Smith might be looking for a gig on TV shortly.

team A fans: stupid prevent defense
team B fans: why didn't they do this earlier?
