NFL a watered-down product these days

League has crossed the line in terms of favoring the offensive side of the ball. Just way too many shootouts week-in and week-out. These high-scoring affairs used to be cool but now they are happening all the time.


Sure this Cowboys-Broncos game has entertainment value but I find myself watching the baseball game more. High-scoring games are boring when you see too many of them.

Yeah. They changed the game to protect the people making and bringing in the money.

Unless you are a fan of a team who is historically good at defense (i.e. Bears, Steelers, etc), nobody pays the insane ticket prices to watch a defensive player.

I love defensive games.

That said, there is a nice amount of Parity this year.

But at the same time they made it more dangerous. Smaller pads and bigger helmets = more head shots. But oh the players look nicer now.

i dont see much excitement in offenses getting pass interference calls to move them down the field cause players are not allowed to look at the offensive players anymore without getting a penalty.

The best part of more classic style football is that running the ball set up big pass plays down the field. That's the kind of passing that is exciting to watch.

its because most qb's dont have the arms to throw downfield anymore and they just wanna pad there stats. downfield passes are 50/50.
