Utah State Looks Like a Very Solid Play Friday

Underrated team that plays great at home, nicely balanced offense that averages 203 rushing yards and 288 passing yards, a quarterback in Keeton that is completing 71 percent of his passes with 17 touchdown passes vs. ONE interception and a defense that ranks 22nd in the country in total defense and is allowing just 3.2 yards per rush. BYU is 2-2, but look at their two wins: they rushed for 500 yards vs. a helpless Texas run defense and they rushed for 300 vs. outclassed Middle Tennessee State. In the two games where they couldn't run the ball as well, they couldn't score many points either while losing to Utah at home and Virginia on the road. I look for Utah State to stuff the run, and that would leave BYU practically helpless with Taysom Hill as quarterback, as he has completed a disgusting 40 percent of his passes while averaging 5.6 yards per attempt with four interceptions and one TD pass.

MTSU is not Utah State though, plus BYU was home that game. Tough to trust Hill in this environment if Cougars can't run.

I mentioned Utah State is great at home for a reason. Aggies are home.

The problem I have with the Under here is that if Utah State shuts down the run, BYU could be prone to turnovers with Hill forced to throw, leading to short fields. On the other side, while BYU certainly has a nice defense, I think Keeton gives Aggies the versatility to at least put up some points anyway. He is a dual threat with 224 rushing yards in addition to the outrageous passing numbers I quoted.

I watched that game. Ugly. But yes BYU was sloppy and did turn the ball over. Should have could have would have..... fact remains they only won 37-10

Byu tends to have a much bigger drop off than most on road games. utah state is pissed with how the game ended last year at 6-3. Love the aggies in this one

Utah State is a good team. In my opinion better than Utah but Utah got lucky against them to win. Utah State should cover 6 easily. Best team in Utah in my opinion. I also think Utah state has covered like 18 straight games?
