really dont understand why matheny didnt go with miller here to put this series on lock, miller a monster at home they should have used him here then fed lynn to the wolves in gm 3 where cards not gonna score anyways.. but who knows cards may be able to get to cole as well..

Cole is nothing special also, so I can understand letting Lynn go game 2 at home. You don't wanna just concede game 3 so Miller is their 2nd best starter IMO and should be going on the road that game.
I like his choice here. You figure we go with our bats to keep up going game 2 OR maybe Lynn pulls one out of his ass and gets it done on his own, which isn't as likely to me.

good point,, i actually agree miller or kelly are far more capable of going to pit gm 3 and matching liriano...just wrote a ton about cole as to why i am again betting cards 2marro...think lynn will battle and give us 6 strong prob 2-3 runs then hand it off to the flame throwers in cards pen..i looked back at cole and while his numbers been really good, during this stretch he has faced scrubbies twice, pads twice, and mil twice. none of wich forced him to throw 100 pitches to get through 6-7 innings, that certainly wont be the case 2marro, he stepping way up in class vs this cards lineup, so i guess you could say i changed my stance on pit stealing gm 2,,lol..

lynn always scares me..he has good stuff but tends to have serious mental lapses,, clearly has some extra late life on his heater cause he gets away with leaving it up way more than he should..we will know early cause it almost always the 1st inning or 2 where he gets shelled during his bad starts.. i didnt play series as thought i could do better gm to gm, planned on passing on gm2 but saw enough things to convince me that even if lynn struggles i think he will keep cards around and they will get to cole..

I love the Rays and that price for game 1.
The price seems about right to me for the series. These guys are pretty evenly matched. Redsox advantage bats, Rays advantage starters. Advantage Rays for the pen and Manager though, I feel Redsox pen is a little overrated and can blow up at any moment.
Could easily go to the 5th game to decide it.
If I had to pick, I'd say Rays in 5.
