There isnt a poster here who doesnt hide their postings. I dont care if you are Bread, all the way down to durito. Not one of us goes out in public and says.."Hey look at me, I post on SBR." Case in point: JJ, when he went to the Nets game and didnt have his goggles on. And talked regular and was actually shy. No one would have known it was him. This is a secret society, I dont care who you are. We all hide it.
Is this not a secret society?

#3If this is true then I'd like to know why no one has ever shared the secret handshake with me.

#6You're a weird guy Panic. I don't know if you live with a guilty conscience or what it is.
There is nothing remotely sneaky about my use of SBR. I have no idea why you think there would be. It's just a website. Lots of people use the internet these days for all kinds of things.
I would talk openly about it with anyone from my parents to girlfriends to the guys at my addictions recovery meeting. It is a good tool and I am smart to use it. Why would there be shame?Comment -

#8There is no shame if you are yourself. Me family is aware and they can read my thoughts. I tell them the same, personally as I do on forum. Some is serious, some is fun, some is gimmick. So be it as in real life off forum.

Actually I just want to clarify that. I doubt anyone cares much about this clarification but here it is anyway:
I don't talk about my gambling at all in recovery meetings. My meetings are about booze and drugs but addicts are often prone to cross-addiction and I don't want to be putting the vibe out there that success at gambling can be right around the corner.
But my good buddies from the meetings know I gamble for a living and I wouldn't hesitate to talk about any aspect of my SBR use with them.Comment -

#10General- there isnt one poster here who goes out to a bar and when meeting a girl, and she asks what he does, brings up the fact that the majority of his time is spent gambling and posting on SBR.Comment -

#11Panic, that's why the gambling lifestyle is kinder to gay men. Women hear about gambling and forums, and they think loser. Men hear about it and think it's sexy and mysterious, it's not a common hobby and men appreciate the element of risk involved. My ex-boyfriend knew all about SBR, read threads I'd show him, and encouraged me to enjoy my gambling and forum experiences. I made it, pal.
