Why are we only hearing of how bad the SEC is and how good the Big East Is? The way I see it the Big East is the best top to bottom and the ACC has four really good teams. Everyone else is down. My theory is that everyone wants to hate the SEC everytime they dont dominate rather basketball or football. I feel that this is because the southern areas usually have "old money".

ACC is better then the Big East by a tick..... they are both good, but they both beat each other up in conf play.

then the big east sucks in the BIG tourney...so it evens out...I'm really looking forward to march madness this year...

ACC is definitely not better than the Big East. The Big East is a gauntlet, every night you are playing a top 15 team, sometimes 3 in a week. It is insane. They just beat up on each other all conf schedule long....

But why are we only hearing of how good the Big East is and how bad the SEC is. Pitt and UConn are the only 2 Big East teams I trust to bring it against anyone on the other hand Duke, UNC, Wake or Clemson will beat anyone. But why so much hate for the SEC and love for the Big East. The Big East is not as good as they are being made out to be and the SEC is not as bad. I think this tournament will have a Butler, Xavier, Utah State type team in the Final Four too many mediocore teams being overrated for it not to happen.

ACC is better quality wise.... big east teams are just up and down.... and they almost all were over-rated to begin this season... Uconn, Marq and Pitt are the only tried and true teams.

teams like wvu, georgetown, ND, syracuse ect.... look great one night and then they get beat by 15 another.

I'll take duke, clem, unc, and wake over big east's top 4.

Agree, Marquette is even questionable to me because of the lack of size, but I still like them sweet 16 maybe elite 8.

Yes, I posted that UCONN was good value at something like $100 to win $1400. Im still on them also. Dont know if the ACC is the best but they deserve a lot more conversation than they are getting they have already had 3 teams at #1 this year. If the Big East gets 9, only 3 maybe 4 will be there sweet 16 anyway, and 4 is pushing it.

                  Uconn is tough...

Pitt could be real trouble, if the recent surge in their frosh shooting gaurds is the real deal.... with Fields, Young, and Blair they have 3 elite NCAA players at their positions. Young has been struggling, and fields is just getting back into form after injuries....if blair stays out of foul trouble, he is one of the most dominating ncaa players in recent memory..... they could be scary..... or they could be another sweet sixteen bust...

Anyone that is only now coming to realize the Big East is as deep as it is and the SEC is off this year simply hasn't paid attention. There was a ton of preseason hype for how deep the Big East would be this season. Might be a case of some folks just can't believe something until they hear it repeated ad nauseum by the ESPN talking heads.

Talking heads really could give it a rest. SEC is off but not buy much.

Is there a clear cut 3rd best conference? I think the Big 12 is the 3rd. Then its really a crap shoot. The Big Ten, Pac 10 and SEC all are supbar. I would take Xavier to beat anytime in any of those 3 leagues. Hell ad the Big 12 to that. Only 2 really good conferences everything else is subpar and Big East is not as good as they are made out to be.

Somebody is not watching any games. The SEC is right above the Big Ten. The best team in the SEC is UT and they may not make it to the sweet sixteen. The SEC West may not get a team in the big dance as they did not last year either.
