Nothing against Dave - I barely know who he is - but I can't remember him ever posting anything of consequence about sportsbooks or the industry. The mod team now seems extremely thin on sportsbook coverage. I hope SBR is going to have some support for posters who are interested in info and updates on sportsbooks. A couple of the guys chime in occasionally - maybe they could pick up some slack in that area.

Good points but I dont think Bill wants all the mods trying to be industry guys. With Justin, Josh, GeneralPete and of course Bill, SBR is fairly deep with industry guys...course you cant have too many industry guys. Still, Dave brings a good energy.

I've been looking forward to working with Dave for a while now, so the timing of Dan's announcement this week threw me for a loop, just a note to posters that might be parlaying the two events in layman's terms. Being able to tap into Dan's database of offshore board history has been amazing for me and I couldn't thank him enough. Plus with him gone, I'm probably going to have to work more hours which will cut into my drinking...

...until Dave gets here, that is

As John mentioned, we have a full evaluation staff available through SBR. We see the board as the player's forum... where you guys get to share book experiences and opinions directly and hopefully use and add to SBR's info. We will try to handle all the Q&A here but, we need most of the urgent sportsbook questions and disputes to come through SportsbookReview. We'll continue to make sure any SBR reports get to SBRforum right away. Dan handled that well and always made sure people knew how to file their complaint.

All moderators have their own projects but when it comes to the forum, they are on because they enjoy being here and can give us the best managed board. Dave is a fun guy and will get to show of his talents soon. He's also not a guy concerned with posters knowing he can edit the forum which makes a good ref.

Congratulations, Dave. Good choice, SBR. Mudcat does bring up a good point. However, I believe Dave is one choice who, without that experience previously, will be capable of learning the intricacies of the industry relatively quickly. He seemed to have the the thirst and passion for such knowledge previously. This opportunity should afford him the chance to gain that knowledge and with time, I don't have any doubt that he will become well-versed in the industry.
