What kind of injury was it?

It was an ugly scene in Tampa Bay, as Machado's knee buckled awkwardly after he stepped on the first base bag following an infield single. He immediately grabbed at his leg in pain and had to be carted off the field. It certainly had the look of a serious injury, but the Orioles should pass along more information soon.

reminds me a bit of the Jason Kendall injury that happened years ago, that pretty much made his career go downhill
