Normally I love Ga Tech at home on short weeks, because teams simply do not have enough time to prepare for the Triple Option. Its been a huge angle for me for quite some time, but that is mostly used with non conference games.
The Hokie Defense is very experienced up front, and obviously have seen this attack before. IF any DC can prepare them its Bud Foster, right?
They haven't seen Vad Lee or faced this attack with a QB who is capable of throwing the football when they need to. This is not Joshua Nesbitt or Tevin Washington. The Yellow Jackets lost this game last year in their opener @ lane 20-17. (Hokies had all that time before the season to prepare)
Also we all know how bad the Hokie kicking game is, and that might force Beamer's hand in some critical situations, to keep the ball in Logan Thomas hands. (You know how that typically goes)
The line jumped off the key number quickly from 7 to 7.5
I think Ga Tech is excellent choice for ML Parlays/Teasers this week...
Can't see this Hokie team going into Bobby Dodd and coming out with a Win.
They might not dice them for 300+ but 230-240 should be sufficient as long as they don't put the ball on the ground multiple times. (only 1 on the season up to this point)
Bottom line is the Yellow Jackets should control the Time of Possession, as they are converting 3rd downs at a 67% Clip.
That should set the tone with an early lead and make that Hokie Offense play from behind. A recipe for a long night in Atlanta on National Tv.
