Ya I am not sure I fully agree with that but somewhere in the middle is where I likely would agree. Clarkson did what he thought was right to stand up for his teammate (10 is way to harsh for the circumstances in my opinion) and Kessel should not use his stick so he should get something.

I thought Mart McSorely, but that was to the head. Bashir got a concussion and there was no confrontation between the players. McSorley was just a pissed off lunatic at the end of the game.

I just watched this again. Kessel backing away got one good slash in at the beginning when Scott took a shot at him and then (and this is the thing I really think is wrong) he starts to take a good two hander to Scott's ankle when he is fighting.

Although he did not follow through and it only ended up hitting the bottom of the guys skate, that was the only thing I really think deserves supplementary discipline discussion.

In my opinion, it should only be a one or two game suspension at most and more a warning to never even think of two handing a guy's ankles....

The "spear" at the end was nothing more of a stick push that is nothing. In all honesty, I am sure Kessel did not want to get closer than a stick length to Scott and just wanted to get his attention to tell him how much of a fan he was of his hockey abilities.... :-)

there is a very fine line that u don't cross when u start swinging with your stick.... between swinging for legs and swinging for heads...

the bottom line is you don't do this as an athlete and you definitely don't do that as a man
