I believe you do have plenty of online books run by legit businessmen and a fair share share run by crooks. I recall reading a story back in 2007 about connections the Genovese family had to BetOnline. I've tried to dig it up to post but can find it. Gambling has been the bread and butter of mob families worldwide for over 100 years no reason to think that isn't the case today. Really wouldn't shock me if some of the sponsored books here at SBR are mob connected...guess I don't care as long as they pay me but it is a little creepy because your sending your personal info to these people.

Unfortunately, this is what we have to deal with. Hopefully someday the corrupt, greedy politicians from the U.S will pull their collective heads out of their a$$es and regulate the industry. The tax dollars it would reap. Maybe they will get desperate for funds and reconsider the issue. Then the players would have safety, no problem getting paid and trememdous offers such as huge bonuses and other perks because it would be so hyper competative.

There certainly no more of a criminal than most U.S politicians such as George Bush and Dick Cheney who sent thousands to their deaths in Iraq while they made millions from rigged contracts and oil profits or others like Tom Dachle who purposely doesn't pay their taxes and get away with it until their nominated for a Cabinet post.
