cardinals won the whole thing on the wild card in 2011
that was the best, i loved that year

Mets lost the world series to the yankees in 2000 but were the wild card
Giants lost the series in 02 as a wild card
Astros in 05 lost in the series as a wild card
Tigers in 06 lost series as a wild card .
Rockies in 07 lost in the series

so between 2003-2007 a wild card team either won the series or played in it..

wild card teams have been a handful the last 20 years
