No, I am not a betting Guru and my profession couldn't be much further away. I am an amateur bettor but like everyone else,I hate to lose!! For a long time now, I have been betting favorites with low odds and have been loosing. I have followed a few handicappers here and even their win percentage is at best 50%. The logic seems to tell that anyone on the other side stands a similar chance of winning and if not, much greater odds such the the amount risked is negligible! I usually bet soccer coz its the only game I understand well enough. I tested my theory yesterday during the Europa League games.
12 teams out of those 24 were at odds higher than 3.5..and at the very least produced draws! If any one had backed all underdogs on double chance,they'd have won half the games and with better odds than anyone backing the favorites. For the most part, backing the favorites in a double chance would have no value at all!
