Vegas Dave has the right personality and sports knowledge, but hasn't gambled himself much....that being said i'm all for giving him the job.... but if someone like Onner gets hired, no offense I love the kid, but I would not be pleased. Dave caps every football game EVER, even though he doesn't bet them... Dave makes vids about intelligent stuff. Dave has experience being on tv and sbr.tv.... the dude has interviewed mark sanchez.... He creates great discussion on the board, and I don't believe he has ever called anyone a cock boy. If he had knowledge about alot of books, and had rubbed shoulders with people in and around the industry he would be perfect. Even without all that, he is about the only poster I'd feel comfortable getting the job without having that experience.

The other huge difference between Herman and VD is that Herman has an act. We went over this in chat the other night. Dave is real, what you get is what he is and that is respectable. Not that I don't like Herman, I think hes a good kid and his act is funny but it is just that...an act.

I look at each name on that list and with few exceptions, these are the thoughts I have:


I don't doubt such-and-such is a great guy. But does he have experience with dispute resolution? I don't recall him ever posting anything that stands out about sportsbooks and the industry. I believe that is of some importance here at Sportsbook Review. For all of Dan's fluff, he initiated and maintained the list of mirror sites. He had at least a basic grasp of payment processors. He tracked and posted info about payout situations with specific books.

Lots of guys can say welcome when they see someone making their first post. Lots of guys can trade jabs with the postoholics and pick up on the latest buzzwords. However IMO replacing Dan is more than just a popularity contest.

(And then in a few cases on the list I add, "Lord gawd, no shills. Gimme a break.")



Of course none of that means the actual posted odds are wrong or bad. I am just saying how I hope SBR is thinking. It doesn't mean they are.
