Let's Talk About This Shoemaker Kid Making His Debut Friday 9/20/13 For L.A. Angels

He's a local boy here in Detroit in which he's finally getting his major league start. Seems to be a down to earth kid.



I'm going to try and get more information as it becomes available. Even though I really like this kid... I think he tanks on Friday. The only thing that can save him is the Angels offense.

Absolutely terrible minor league splits against lefthanded hitters. If Seattle loads 7 or 8 lefthanded hitters in the lineup tonight as they have been of late, it may be a learning curve night for the kid.

Wish him well though, hometown kid.

The kid is so nervously excited it's unreal. Vegas has him as a very soft favorite. This girl I know... knows his wife... she's extremely excited for him and I think the vegas line is self explanatory. I think I'm taking Seattle tonight. I just think if it takes you until 27 years old to make your first major league start... you were missing something to begin with. Love the heart of this kid... but I think vegas knows what's going to happen.
