Caribbean. Turks and Caicos, StMartin/SintMarteen are two good choices.
South America, the Colombian coastal city of Cartagena, and a small resort town near Rio de Janairo called Angra Dos Reis.

Depending on what time of year you go, Punta Del Este, Uruguay is also very nice. You have to go in the Winter which is Summer down there.

You are right, Argentinos and Uruguayos can be a pain in the ass. People bitch about it in the US and think is bad here. Peruvians and Bolivians have no idea what awaits them when they get there.
