I like you, nasher, mainly for your level-headedness. This one's out of left field, though, and I'm no fan of Kaepernick. The kid's allowed to have a bad game or two. He hasn't even started a full season in this league, and he just faced arguably the best defense in football on the road in a raucous environment. I don't know about you, but I wasn't exactly stunned that he wasn't able to carve Seattle up tonight. Doesn't make him a fraud. This is the problem with the modern era of robot QB's. They're so good, so accurate, and put up such gaudy numbers, no one's allowed to have a bad game.

Context. Again, just because he couldn't solve Seattle's outstanding defense -- which includes the best defensive backfield in football -- in that kind of environment, doesn't make him a "fraud." That's a pretty big step away from having an off night.
