My team had a bye this week, is this what it's like to be an Ohio State fan?

Maybe Boise & Louisville...FSU & Oregon some years? Playing nobody every week, beating them by 40 points.

Honestly...these schools are very good programs, but this kinda sucks right? Football isn't quite as exciting.

Ohio State plays the mighty FAMU Rattlers this week while Florida State will face a stiff challenge from Bethune-Cookman... where you can find good seats at the Doak on stub hub for $9. Only way this is competitive is if the bands serve each other and the game comes down to a dance off.

Louisville against the Florida International Golden Pumas isn't much better. $10 a pop if you want to watch the game.

It'll get better for Louisville when they move to the ACC next season. Florida State will pick up Oklahoma State and Notre Dame over the next few years.

What's the incentive to play anyone out of conference

There is none unless it's a top sec school but they couldn't get a game with one of them because sec schools have ZERO motivation to play anyone

Unfortuantely, under the current format, it is far far better to schedule a cupcake and whoop them than it is to risk losing to set up a good matchup against a decent team. Even once they go to a 4 team playoff, that formula won't change.

You're absolutely right. That could change next season when there's a committee deciding the top 4 teams. If you're in one of the top 5 conferences, there is no reward for having a tough OOC schedule.

Ohio State is so far ahead of the Big 10 outside of maybe 2 schools every game is a laugher.
