I love MLB in September. You have your quitters, and you have your teams that still play hard everyday no matter what their record is.
The WhiteSox ARE QUITTERS.
Team is pathetic, has ZERO heart. Biggest underachievers this year in MLB.
I look at them and then look at the Marlins and Astros and I see 2 diff things.
The Whitesox were a team who shoulda been at least .500, has a terrible manager, and has tanked and is just trying to get through this last month. The other 2 teams play hard everyday despite horrible records, have what I consider good managers, and just don't have much all-around talent which is why they can't win games, as well as inexperience.
Cleveland is in the hunt, and although probly what I would consider to be not as good as their record is, well managed and has gotten the most out of a group of average joe's basically.
Kluber has been a very solid, underrated pitcher on this squad. Seen him pitch a couple BIG games and shut teams down.
For him, today this is obviously a BIG game.
Danks needs no introduction. Straight Gascan. Been fading him a lot this year. Guy is just terrible.
Small road juice, but I feel like the price is a steal and Cleveland should be around -180 here.
So I'm gonna hop on it. BIG.
If you happen to have access to laying the half a run for the first 5 inning and getting a nice plus price, I'd do that as well. I don't have that kind of option in Vegas.
