Game will honor 9/11. Long ceremonies lead to slow starts, Jets fiesty and resilient on D and Pats still not in rhythm in offense. Should be low scoring. Is -12 too high? Don't get me wrong I still think Pats win but I don't know about the spread here. Thoughts?

Brady is going to lean heavily on Edelman and that is fine. Next week THE GRONK makes his return and then the Pats will keep winning.
all the little kids love Gronk, he sounds like a dinosaur.
The best story of last week was how injury prone Amandola was hurt FIRST WEEK. Pats seriously screwed up when not resigning Welker.

The Bills have speed, speed and more speed. It was a difficult game 1 match up on the road for the Pats, and it showed. The Jets played the Bucs, who just pounded the ball, played into the Jets strengths, and still almost lost. At full strength, Pats would be 14+ pt favorites but they have some issues. Going forward Ridley isn't going to fumble, Edelman/Amandola will do what they do, Thompkins isn't going to blown another 10 targeted balls, and a Powell/Ivory backfield doesn't scare anyone. If the line drops to -11, I'm game at -12, its still definitely teaser worthy.Comment -

Pats should only get better on offense as the season moves along. Because it is a division game, the line is correct at -12 or so. The Patriots motivation is sky high, in their minds they should have lost that game. They will bounce back hard. I would go Pats anything less than -14.Comment -

They were preparing all preseason as if Sanchez starting.
Geno is a different QB.
Always a rookie QB who gets hot.
Hope it's him.
But the WR and RB's on this team are God awful.

The season Welker was hurt we found out Edelman was like generic store-brand Welker. He can play the same role, but not as well.

It is high but it seems people might be overreacting to the Jets win last week. They are still a bad football team in my opinion. Geno Smith and the Jets have yet to prove to me that they can play consistently well. I don't lay over a touchdown in the NFL but I also wouldn't go against Tom Brady and Bill Bellichick at home, even though it's a lot of points. This one is a pass for me. Jets do have a decent defense. I'll be watching this one to scout these teams extensively.Comment -

i am looking at the stats from week 1 but honestly we do not know what to expect from geno smith. the pats looked shaky on defense and 11 is a big number to cover given that the defense of the jets is pretty good. then again this could be a rout. im going back and forth. ill just wait until saturday. no need to jump all over this one since its the early bird.Comment -

Patriots easily. You guys are really going to take Geno Smith a rookie over Tom Brady with just 3 days of rest to game plan. Aside from Brady scoring, Smith will probably commit several turnovers on his own because he will be playing in a hostile environment.Comment
