Well you called him out as a stiff in public and you will think if he has any ounce of dignity he would appear and defend himself for sending the payment as promised. Why text message if he is paying? Something is very fishy here. I don't like it.

Gordon won't go against anything I said. He knows I have been 100% truthful so far. He's seen and read this thread.

He went from not having any money and not being able to pay me, to being able to "scratch it together". Starting with a dime tonight, which surprised me too.

On another note, Its sad to say, but you probably wont get paid...Most have been there before(including me) and yes it does suck but luckily for you, you never lost an actual penny of real money out of this whole thing...

He lied to me MULTIPLE TIMES. He told me before I accepted those bets that he had THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS sitting in his paypal account he could forward me ASAP if the Steelers didn't cover. Now I am lucky this is all he is able to send me for a while? This isn't even half the money he got himself down. I can go on and on about other lies he made as well to convince me to let him take a couple big shots to even up (Nadal match, Superbowl, etc).

Steelers -6.5 as in the super bowl? Not even 24 hrs later he's a stiff??? Could become a slow pay or evolve into a stiff, but unless he flat-out told you, "fukk you, I'll never pay any of this", don't you think it's jumping the gun throwing out the stiff stag so early?

I have a good memory, TS. You owed an SBR poster from a bet and didn't pay on the agreed settle date. He started a thread about it and people here were defending your honour. I assume he was paid in full, making his thread an error in judgment. Why would you do the same thing without knowing for sure? Did he tell you to screw off?

I tried to stay away from this thread since it was opened ... I like both of these posters ... and I have had direct contact with Gekko outside of this forum, he does seem to be a great guy.

I agree with you CW. This thread was thrown out here way to early ... but I also understand T and most likely I woulda done the same, simply by anger.

I hope Gekko clears up his name and sticks to Tennis (which he won a bet against me).

No. I started this thread when he told me he had nothing to give me and after I saw 4 of his promises were based on lies. I told him once he squares up with me, I would delete this thread and post a new one saying he made good on his debt.

That is more than fair in my book.

In your place, I would've tried to work with him, but being stiffed is exactly what I would've expected. Lying and thievery go hand-in-hand.

Can't really fault your method, I suppose. He did send a dime. Without the thread, doubt you would've been paid as quick.

No efforts were made and no promises of money were made until this thread was started...up until then it was just apologies that he lied up and down to me and sorry he couldn't pay.

Here's the thing, even if I did work with him and got part of it....this warning should still stand. I made sure to update the board when he sent a dime. But regardless, he has been a compulsive liar and not worth spending the time of day with when money is involved to those reading. That still stands even if he comes up with 100k right now.
