I started SBR as a 1 page website in 1999. I think traffic would spike to 20 visits a day back in those days. There were thousands of review sites that were just scams to get players into the webmasters affiliated sportsbooks. Well, SBR was of similar model with one major difference; the books were graded accurately.

SBR has since added many sites to the family but my passion and love was always for the reviews and ratings. Getting accurate information on places like an offshore sportsbook is a great challenge. We needed an office in Costa Rica to show the books we are serious and we are not the enemy.

As for myself I do not run the daily operations at SBR anymore but remain a very interested owner. I'm engaged to the girl swinging the golf club to the left. She shot a 78 last Thursday to beat me for the first time. Her first sub 80 round so congrads to Jennifer.

SBR John, congratulations on your engagement, hopefully if there's a Bash this year we'll be able to dedicate an evening as your SBR Bachelor Party.

I notice that this year should serve as SBR's 10th anniversary. Do you happen to remember the actual date you launched the site? It seems like SBR should celebrate 10 years of "setting the record straight" with a unique contest or a post-a-thon or something.
