Nobody at the time brees became a free agent (coming off a shoulder injury) had any clue he would become what he is now. All you need to know about that time is the dolphins passed on him for a washed up Daunte Culpepper.

umm let me see brees play behind what has been a joke of a oline the last few years and now with a team with no big time playmakers..dont get me wrong obviously brees better than rivers but i bet if you put that choking dog on the saints with payton and those weapons we would talk much more highly of him. prob still wouldnt have won cause dude dumber than a box of rox and couldnt handle control of a offense but still him on saints his numbers would be very good..

Vincent Jackson isn't a bigtime playmaker? I would argue he's better than any receivers on New Orleans and if he had Brees tossing to him the guy would be breaking records.

So don't give me that dogshit about being surrounded by talent, Antonio Gates?

Brees is simply one of the best in the league today.

why is their so much hate for Rivers on this forum? Guy had multiple good years in SD and no doubt he had alot of talent around him with LT and all those wide receivers, which comes back to my point of how bad of a coach Norv Turner really was. With a decent coach the Chargers could have easily been to multiple super bowls. I understand that Rivers has falen off the past couple years but you can't take away all the great years he had.
