They were talking about Vereen the entire off-season, about how he would serve in a Darrin Sproles / Reggie Bush type role. And he did just that in Week 1.

Washington may get the passing down reps and Bolden and/or Blount will give Ridley a nudge. Pats need a young wr to step up and be a deep threat. Amendola and Edelman are nice complementary guys. If Gronk can't go then Brady should make a few calls to get Hernandez released on bail and keep him locked up in Gillette Hanibal Lector style until game time. you could put mother teresa in there as long as the OL blocks for her. running backs are a dime a dozen in the NFL. and the QB makes the receivers not the other way around. not hard to catch a football if you're wide open and then run for the sidelines. if wagering, always take the team with the injured players. others step up when given the chance.

Ridley is a much more explosive runner than Shane V., of course he needs to hold onto the ball but if he does I would much rather Ridley get the majority of the carries. Two fumbles last week, that will not happen again.
