Eagles vs. Redskins Too Tough To Call

Nothing for me on this game without knowing how RG3 will react. My leans are to Skins and the Over, but those leans assume Griffin being close to fully functional. Both defenses have major holes. The Eagles allowed the third most points in the NFL last year and are now transitioning from a 4-3 to a 3-4 while moving some guys from their natural positions, and I would love that if I knew for sure Griffin would be fully utilized. My fear is that the Skins may go conservative this week and feed Alfred Morris the ball a lot. It will be interesting to see how Chip Kelly's up-tempo offense plays in the NFL, and while the Eagles have a great running back for his system in McCoy, I am not sure the Philly receivers are good enough with not much on the opposite side of DeSean Jackson with Maclin out for the year.

Probably the best part of the entire Phiily team, although the blocking schemes could be different this year.

Flip side is Jackson is all they have on the outside so Skins could smother him. Besides which Vick sucks, especially when it comes to reading defenses.

this is true... Vick doesn't read defenses.. his first instinct is to scramble
after just a quick glance.

Wash has the power running game and is much more physical on both sides of the ball but I feel like Vick might feel a little reborn with Chip Kelly's system and McCoy/DeSean Jackson seem like they fit in to that system too. Wash should win the division and Garcon could have a big big year but this is a wait-n-see game for me. I like Houston tonite!

Philly has six new starters on DEE. Lets just say not all are upgrades from last year. On the road, going against a team with a back like MORRIS: Even if RG III is rusty, maybe turns the ball over once, I still don't see Philly's DEE keeping it close. Maybe in wrong, but I think the Eagles DEE will be exposed tonight.
