I was on the right ATS side of both of those Steelers wins, and in both cases it was obvious to me that the refs had been way too instrumental in the outcome. Why can't we have a good zebra crew, the invisible kind, for the biggest game of the year? This is really the best the NFL can produce?

Pissburgh sucks. Not just the Steelers but all professional teams from Pissburgh suck. My favorite team is who ever is playing Pissburgh.

        Pissburgh.

The 11 penalties whistled on Arizona included a preposterous roughing the passer penalty on a play that wouldn't have been uncommon in touch football. That came on a drive that saw two personal foul penalties on the Cards, one of which gave the Steelers another chance to score from the goal line. For the evening, 18 penalties were called, the third-most in Super Bowl history. A missed call may have proven enormous also. After Santonio Holmes' game-winning touchdown catch he did an imitation of LeBron James' chalk move. Using the ball as a prop is an automatic 15-yard penalty on the kickoff.
          Adding to these:

          1. The knee of the Steeler #92 was down when Fitzgerald tackled him before the ball passed the goal line.

          2. The roughing the place kicker on a FG attempt by Steelers was non-existenst. Guy lost his balance and couldn't stop. He barely touched the place kicker.

          3. #24 of Steelers held down one of the Cardinals special team players and started punching him in the head like George Saint Pierre did to BJ Penn. He was called for USC but not ejected.

          4. Every Cardinal drive had at least two offensive holds. They didn't let them play.

              1. Not true.
              2. Maybe, but how do you know that in real time.
              3. Punched him in the back (open-handed), and pushed him over twice, got a penalty. Ejection would have been asinine.
              4. So what, they were legit calls.
