Come on man use your brain. If Patterson played fields against a weak selu opponent do you think he is going to sit him against a game he wants to win the most of any on his schedule. No way Patterson sits fields against tech. Well only way is if tech or tcu has the game in hand by the 4th quarter. Other than that fields is playing the entire game

I guess Patterson can have Fields serve it as his discretion, but that's unusual. I thought maybe Fields would sit out the 1st half and return for the 2nd. It was a school suspension. Rumor is that it was because he had an alcohol container in his dorm room. Patterson suspended him for LSU, and played him in 3rd quarter of SELA game to get some reps before Big 12 play. School said he had to sit 2 games, but didn't say when.
