I am not usually fond about laying 7 points (now 7.5) on the road vs, an excellent defense like BYU, but I don't think Cougars will totally shut down Texas offense that amassed 715 yards of offense vs. New Mexico State and BYU simply lacks the offense to keep pace. BYU quarterback Taysom Hill completed 13-of-40 passes (YIKES!) vs. Virginia. A one-dimensional rushing attack won't help BYU if Texas opens up a lead.

#3Hoping for a 7 middle. layed 6 on the open and got +7.5. I def dont think u should lay 7.5 in provo. Maybe worth looking at a tease with colts or GB to 11.5?

#6I would look at the game last year in Austin before pulling the trigger.
Texas might be a good team by the end of the year. Still playing a lot of young players. But they will have their hands full with BYU's defense. It's a total given Texas has more talent and nearly the entire team returned. But...they are still young and Tx QB Ash is NOT dependable especially on the road where the pass rush will bother him. They may break it open but the most probable storyline is both offenses struggle and its a 60 minute game...just like last year.Comment -

#12I agree with the prick on this one. I bet the under 56.5 earlier in the day. Two run heavy offenses that will eat clock and two good defenses. BOL though LT.Comment -

#24The whole world is on Texas. I hope you guys are right. I could count on one hand the strong games Texas has played in the last two seasons and have a finger or two left over. Texas was losing 14-0 late in late in the first half to a terrible New Mexico team. I think this is a much closer game than some think.Comment -

#31A strong storm moved into the area, complete with a whipping wind and pounding rain. BYU players attempted to take the field for special teams work, but quickly retreated back into the locker room. The rain came down so fast that a giant puddle formed in the corner of the north end zone.
Later, lightning flashes began appearing near the stadium along with claps of thunder.
Last week, BYU had its season opener in Virginia delayed for more than two hours by weather.

#32The storm def makes me nervous, but after watching the offense develop last week against NMST, I agree Texas will run away with this one. I would bet on the under because Texas' defense won't allow BYU to score, and they will easily beat the spread.Comment -
