Thigh strain is the report. Time out actually seems to have helped him though. Djokovic had all the momentum. Sitting for more than five minutes took some of the steam away.

I don't think the whole of the match was at an A+ level like some five setters. Great battle for sure, but Djokovic lacked quality early and really only turned it up in the 4th & 5th finally. Wawrinka plays one of the better matches of his life again and again is going to be short it appears.

Next match is gonna be fairly short and to the point IMO. Nadal got himself about as great a set-up as possible. Djokovic forced to work hard today, that will take something out of him on Monday.

Agree with EP. I think Nadal whips Gasquet ... and I thought Del Potro/Djoker was better than today's Djoker/Wawa match.

Wawrinka v. Djokovic at the Aussie was better than this one. It was good, but just because a match goes 5 doesn't make it great. Some great moments, like the 3rd game of the 5th set for sure and some high quality stuff - but Djokovic summed it up in the end. He didn't play better over the course of the match, but he got it done when it counted. B level from Djokovic and A level mostly from Stan and the A game doesn't win it.
