First week is always the hardest - but I like these three:
Tampa -3
St. Louis -4 1/2
Washington - 3 1/2
thoughts?

I lean your way on all three games, which is scary because I generally hate playing so many favorites, and yet I think Week 1 will be very chalky this year. The trickiest one is Washington because it remains to be seen how RG3 will look in his first game back. My favorite of those is St. Louis, the Rams' defensive line should dominate the Arizona offensive line, and Andre Roberts getting injured in practice Thursday does not help.

as a rams fan their no way i would lay those points. seriously i love their defense but that offense still has a lot to prove before id lay more than a fg as this gm more than likely is tight..

Thanks for your thoughts, LT. Oddly, the St. Louis pick is mine, too. I think Daryl Richardson is going to have a big season on the ground for the Rams. One of the things I like most about RGIII is his heart and his attitude - it'll get him through game 1, even if the body isn't top-notch.

no doubt the dline will be all over palmer and prob force a few turnovers but that goes both ways as zona has some ball hawks in that secondary and im not ready to praise the rams offense like so many here in stl seem to be doing.. think this a gm where special teams and defense for both teams will be what sets up scores, think this a tight gm decided by 4 or less..

I think the addition of Wallace and the ground game with Lamar Miller wins this game for the Dolphins and leads to a few more points than we might traditionally expect from these two teams overall.

i dunno i think ya'll crazy for wanting to lay 4.5 with stl.. not that i want any part of zona either but man rams are a terrible red zone team and i just havnt seen anything that says those issues have been fixed. i like what they are doing and they have some weapons but bradford is still a huge question mark for me, richardson doesnt have elite vision, i like the kid he runs hard and hits a hole but really lacks the vision when it comes to cutting back or bouncing at the right times. lets not forget zona has a rather stout defense themselves..

-3.5 is never the best bet of the week in nfl.

LOVE TB -3. Martin pounding it, Revis just bought another island, geno smith?, and the jets blow.
Miami +1....new year, new additions, will place 2nd in their division and surprise a lot of people. Plus they are underrated when it comes to stopping the run.
Titans +7 chris johnson is back... hopefully....

Sportgirl, the board calls me the best fade at SBR.
I'm a tad against the grain. I try to find where the public is wrong and pound the other side.
Have a great weekend babe.

Patriots will surely beat the Bills. Perhaps you are talking about the spread?

Well, I have only seen your Broncos ATS and team total pick, so the board may be wrong? lol I love to find that one pick that everyone thinks is crazy and hit it, but I think NE is something to stay away from in that vein. Stevan Ridley and Danny Amondola will likely have big days against Buffalo. Have a great weekend, too and good luck!
