My observations of Labor Day MLB
Just relaxing all day watching MLB, thought I'd share my thoughts.

5 players that were once relevant are so over the hill now and need to retire started today.

Paul Konerko: Bat speed now slow as a turtle.
Barry Zito: Once relevant, now a hamburger.
    Lance Berkman: See Paul Konerko
    DiceK: Was her ever relevant?
Jason Giambi: Got the start at DH, now an automatic out.

    Observations:

Just finished watching the Oakland A's game: That team has a lot of fun playing, easy team to like.

Texas Rangers: Makes way to many boneheaded mistakes to be taken seriously.

Wainwright and Kershaw: Not as automatic as everybody thinks.

Nick Markakis: Makes 15 million dollars this season. Leads the league in singles. I love his glove in RF, but that's a crap load of money for a guy that hits singles.

The Astros hosted the Twins in Houston today and nobody gave a crap

    Questions?
Does Oakland have enough pitching to do any October damage? They play sound baseball, Money Ball is working out there, but pitching wins.

Does Boston have enough pitching to do any October damage?

Will Detroit's bullpen doom them in October?

        Berkman fukkin sucks now
2 terrible at bats to end the gameffor Texas there, kinsler/beltre hacking at the first pitch with the tying runs at 2/3. Like they just tried to lose.

I'd imagine this the last we see of dice man.

Clayton still automatic, just a bad track record at Coors. No need to overreact imo.

Tampa bay rays are dropping hard, an in a hurry. Maybe a series vs angels could be the remedy ???

Pitt pirates going for the jugular this season??

Cant agree with u more...He's been a cancer to the SF Giants for years. He will not be returning to SF next year. I wonder if some team will be desperate enough to sign him.

To be honest I didn't drink the Kershaw kool ade as much as I thought that the dodgers would just flat out rake in coors field.
