Any thoughts on Saints to win it all this year

Their offense is good enough. You never know. Giants and Saints can beat any team in the NFL on any day. I still like the 49ers or the Falcons to win the NFC this year.

their defense was better before, and they had reggie bush, whos presence and contribution is to this day totally underappreciated.

its not that same team. they need help on defense, they need a legitimate back, and another weapon for drew brees. too many holes despite being a good team

its all about our injuries. graham and colston need to stay healthy this year. we've already lost way too many guys this offseason to IR so far including Will Smith and our breakout receiver joe morgan. plus our 2 FA defenders from dallas coleman and butler.

the RB spot im not worried because in the 09 super bowl season we did the same thing with bush, thomas and mike bell. ingram is like bell and sproles is like bush. graham is just as dynamic as shockey was.

the O-line is really different tho from that year. weve lost goodwin to sf, nicks to tb, and bushrod to the bears. saints will be a top contender this year if rob ryan can implement a 'greg williams' hungry and aggressive style defense.

QB Drew Brees is behind an OK offensive line with so many play makers all over the field ,I believe Henderson should hardly will be missed. But the big change is on the sidelines, where coach Sean Payton is back in charge after serving his suspension[ Bountygate]. This my SBR members should help the offense be even more explosive and return some sense of normalcy to the franchise.The Saints will be hard to stop offensively, tough at home and motivated to rejoin the league’s elite you think? However there defense will be questionable going against Falcons in the opener. The Saints are currently experimenting with their new 3-4 defense, and any time you have a defense that comes off a horrible season 2012, is a question you have to ask yourself. I personal think its not wise that Saints will significantly improve there defense this season.The defense still appears to have issues even after adding Vaccaro in the draft and Lewis via free agency and switching to a new scheme defense.

Rob Ryan is no Gregg Williams. Saints will win some exciting 48-47 type games and may be a spoiler, but not a champ.

+2000 is that all.....you can get +3000 with me....with that defense you might as well flush it down the toilet i cant seeing the D getting that much better with rob ryan in town either, it will get better no doubt but thats only cuz it couldnt get any worse.....

Coming from a guy who said the Angels would win it all this year (Dead last in their division probly), LAkers would win it all in NBA

they could do it. But the only way they will get there is by having home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Buccaneers defense is gonna be nasty they could get there too.

Atlanta Falcons are my pick to win it though.

Doubtful they make the playoffs this year out of that division. TB and CAR are both 8-8 or better teams this year. Brees is a monster for sure, but I don't think that bringing back Sean Payton adds that much to this offense. Is Brees going to throw for SIGNIFICANTLY more than 43 TD's and 5,177 yards because his coach is back? It seems unlikely, and he threw 46/5400 when Payton was there the year prior. The fact is since the 2011 season he's lost 3 lineman, a slew of #2 and #3 receivers, and still doesn't have a run game. None of these things have been improved, but now Sean Payton is back and it seems the expectation is he's going to throw 60 TD's/6,000 yards or something.

That defense was one of the worst in the history of football, and adding Rob Ryan and a rookie safety is not going to do much to improve it.

Panthers offensive line and secondary may both be the worst in the NFL

True, but they were still Football Outsiders #10 offense last year. I think they added a ton to their Front 7 with Lotulelei alone. He's going to free up his outside rushers and force his secondary to spend less time in coverage. Carolina might now be a balanced team.

i actually agree with this. we cant win in cold weather. were lucky we go to new england and chicago early in the season.
