Is Dejuan Blair a lottery pick?
not sure how his game will translate to the pros....kinda a tweener like Harangody, but much more athletic...

dude is top 5 rebounder i've ever seen in college hoops though... maybe number 1.. guy is unstoppable on the glass

No, but I think he will be a solid pro, guys who can rebound will always be wanted.

he's only a sophmore...but i'm thinking that there is a 50/50 chance he enters the draft this year. and 95% chance he goes after his jr year, barring injury.

last Pitt guy to go early, screwed his career up bad. chris taft

If Pitt goes on nice run in the tourny, Blair stock will be high, and I think he should leave if he gets some kind of signs he will be a top half of the first round pick. Staying in school can hurt your draft stock, look at Budinger at Arizona, he would have been a lottery pick if he left after his freshman year.

monster game 23 points 22 boards against the 2nd best rebounder in the league? are you kidding me?

11 offensive boards. guy is a monster when he stays out of foul trouble and on the court

He needs to develop his game away from the basket first.

exactly...he can't create his own shot opportunities really. He is too much of a Tweener for the NBA without increasing his ball handling and shooting ability.

He relies on offensive boards to get about 50% of his points...which is great, but it won't be so easy to do in the NBA

He will be a good guy to come of the bench for 20 minutes and bang around in the post, but he really has no offensive skills and just uses his size to dominate smaller players.

if he wants to be a top pick the 09 draft is his best chance. This draft may be the worse in a very long time!

After that 1st half, top 10 pick, maybe top 5.

Not tall enough to be a lottery pick, but definitely a first rounder.

I think the amazing thing with blair is how he moves without the ball......

he is a beast, and he knows how to use his super wide frame and strength better then anyone.... he gets 10+ OFFENSIVE boards at times because he can get exactly where he needs to be.

tonight he manhandled thabeet at times, just backed him down like he was shaq.... Thabeet is no NBA player yet...but if Blair can add an outside shot, improve his turn around.... he could make contributions in the NBA, as he just BITCH SLAPPED two pretty big guys in Thabeet and Adrien...

this guys hands, and footwork are unreal...... gets alot of steals and tips ect...

i'm becoming more and more of a believer that if he keeps putting the work in, that he might be more then a tweener... better shot at sticking in the NBA then harangody

I questioned Boozer so who knows. If you can get the guy mid to late first round take a shot on a guy surprising you.

he MIGHT be a nice second round pick. He's 6'7 and an animal, but could he really play the 4 in the NBA? 6'7 is pretty small for that and he isn't exactly the quickest guy in the world. If he learns how to shoot the basketball from outside, he could be much better though. Classic GREAT college player, no NBA future...... kind of a shame too
