I'm on NIU. Iowa's defense looks good but I'm really surprised their offense was this good too.

That said, they may still find a way to lose this game.

Is Ferentz finished? I see 6 more easy losses. At Ohio State and Nebraska, and home to both Michigans, Northwestern and Wisconsin. That all adds up to 7 losses and another bowless season.

From what I understand they won't buy out his contract even if they wanted to. ... Lately Iowa's been shitting the bed against teams like Minnesota. I expect 7 for sure.

It could have been worse for Iowa. NIU had some extremely conservative play calling except for a few bombs. I think Lynch could have lit them up if his OC gave him a chance.

Got a buddy on the Iowa D-Line, he was disappointed by the loss obviously but felt they played well overall. He was online playing DOTA within a couple hours of the game lol, we often forget these players that make or break our bank accounts are just kids sometimes...

Not happy here, pal. I said at the beginning of the season to hit UNI and that Iowa State would win 5, beat Iowa, and to hit the UNDER 5.5 total wins on the opener. It might be 3 or 4 wins.

They're stuck with him through like '20, and I don't think they're even going to consider buying him out.

Ferentz got old in a hurry. He coaches like an old man, he talks like an old man to reporters (always short and angry these days), and he hires old men around him (Greg Davis? Really?) Hawkeye fans better settle in for the long haul of this contract, which is becoming the worst this side of Pujols in football.
