me and my friends... hell when we are ballin' and playing beach volleyball and it starts to rain & or lightning... we don't give a shit, we continue to play... and that's with the metal poles holding up the net on both sides of the court lol... hell, it started to hail on us one day in June and we played through it for 10 minutes.

Right now I would be surprised if it wasn't. They get the old excuse that it is dangerous for the playres to cool down and have to get warmed up again and the game was essentially over (except for how the gamblers are concerned). Yeah this has happened to me before. A few years ago a ton of lightning delays plagued opening weekend and a few games got called as a matter of fact. I think I had two bets voided that weekend because of that shit

Ye sit applies to the NFL but that 55 minutes rule is as far as gamblers are concerned. As far as the actual game itself is concerned, I believe it is really up to the refs, the coaches and the athletic directors.
