    Betoto bonus scam
Betoto part of Bwin atract players with 100% bonus up to 100 Euro.
Czech bettor deposited 100 Euro, but bonus was refused because
betoto.com is "specialising in the Greek market" as mentioned in the e-mail.

    In the TOC is:
The bonus offer is only valid for the greek market.

Betoto is a greek firm, so the market where bettors bet is also Greek. Or is it indian, czech or scandinavian market? Is market determined by nationality? Is this case for SBR?

If this is a nationality problem (not written in TOC) I am pretty sure that any firm from one European union country cannot serve customers from various EU countries at different circumstances.

I see your point, but I think, unless you want to twist it a lot like you do, that its pretty obvious it was for greek customers only. If you bother to think a bit logical..to call it scam is even worse, maybe a mistake, but not a scam. Then again, Bwin has their problems, so Im not surprised to see them ending up in this mess. And was this email in Greek or English?

I personally also do not have problem with the fact that some promo is only for the part of the market - and yes European union is one market. For example: Hypotetical promotion of Bet365 only for citizens from London is the same case and the european competition laws are against this. Ironically this behavior is normal at the company with many processes, where their main argument is european licence, which should be more powerful (in their interpretation) than national licences. But this was not mentioned in their TOC.

Question: Where are bets and deposits accepted? I guess at the greek market which is the european market. Market (wiki): a social arrangement that allows buyers and sellers to discover information and carry out a voluntary exchange of goods or services. If it is so - the promo should be awarded to anyone betting at betoto!

The e-mail was of course English. No problem with bettors from other countries if they would have written: for Greek customers only. But they know, it is against law - they should have problem with EU intitutions. We needn“t agree with competition law, but it is reality. Remember for example the case when cars in Italy were sold to Germans at higher prices than to Italians. Therefore they wrote the "market" nonsense. If this is written, they should stand on it.

Gibraltar is where the bets are being placed.. now Gibraltar is technically part of the EU, but not sure how competition laws apply. TBH I don't think you'd get far pursuing it, but you are free to do as you wish of course..

Gibraltar is exempt from the Customs Union.

Yeah, U R right...Gibraltar, the same, part of EU. But EU laws are EU laws: it is their argument for their bussiness at Czech republic. "We have EU licence, and this licence is for whole EU. EU law is superior to national law. We do not need czech licence, because EU is one market." (not exact quote) And I agree. The same is the competition law. I post it because I am 100% sure about it, my diploma work was about competition policy. Of course I can do nothing else than post this and maybe send them e-mail. But they do wrong, this can be used as strong argument against them. Brusel never sleeps and we do not need EuroBoS.
