Defensively he is a horrible liability, may have little or no value these days.

He was never good defensively, but the style of play the last few years has to have taking a toll on him and with his age his better days are behind him. The Suns must be pissed they traded the Rondo pick to Boston. Rondo could of learned from Nash, and cut down on Nash's minutes.

I think he's still pretty good.. it's obvious some nights his back is bad. But overall, yeah, I'd say he's definitely on the decline.

Nah, Nash just doesn't thrive in that system. Get him in a system that is up and down and let him QB it all...he's good to go

Nash is not washed up. Couple weeks ago I saw an article that his numbers are way down, but that they are almost exactly the same as for his Dallas time.

Nash needs an open floor to show his skills. The change to a slow and clogged up half court game, with everything going through Shaq, is really a show of disrespect -by Kerr and Porter -, for what two-time MVP Nash has accomplished in Phoenix.

And Terry Porter as a coach is a joke. Nash knows that. Shaq knows it. Both have implied it. Bell and Diaw were more vocal with their criticism and were traded. Nash understands the politics behind those trades and doesn't respect it.

This team is going nowhere now. When Nash and Shaq are gone, the Suns will be bottom dwellers, again. Destroyed by an over-ambitious managment (Sarver and Kerr), which didn't appreciate what it had. The demise really began with the change of ownership. All the players loved Colangelo. Sarver is widely perceived as a jerk.

Nash only won mvp's because he was white, he is no mvp. He does not do enough.

I think Kerr knows he fvcked up but cant come out and admit it. He is lying in the bed he made. I think he also knows he should have never let Mike D go. Porter is horrible. If Mike D was still there, the Suns would have 30 wins right now. Mike D has nowhere near the talent in New York that the Suns have and yet they have 20 wins and only 5 back of Phoenix's 25 wins.

Pretty racist statement. So only black players should win?

If you had seen every Phoenix game in the seven-seconds-or-less years, you would have said he was the best to ever play the game.

It was showtime, like Magic and the Lakers. And sure, Nash is not great on defense; but his assists and high shooting percentage make up for it. The whole idea that the Suns weren't playing D in the D'Antoni years was bullsh*t. They just played way faster than everybody else. More possessions for both teams, higher scores.

Bottomline is that you don't need a refined and highly skilled point guard just to throw the ball to Shaq. That's a waste of Nash's talent. When D'Antoni left I wrote here than Nash might follow him to New York. That looks like a stronger possibility now. Nash has expressed interest in that scenario.

since the begining of his career, steve nash always had the ability to play defense, it is just that he chooses not to do so. he sees taking charges as an easier way of pretending to play defense. i know about his back problems and i choose to say this. as a matter of fact, steve nash used to be my favorite point guard 3 years ago.i would definitely sell him because he does more good than bad. he has many turnovers, all of the games that the suns lose is mainly because of the fact that almost every decent guard, whether rookie or not has a 20+ game a night on steve.he has shown that he is not versatile enough to play in any other way than fast break. this is why chris paul is way better than him. he can play both up tempo and half court.at about 6'3, nash also Chooses not to set any rebounds. also, when his team are in close games against big teams, you can count on nash to choke and turnover the ball on a crucial possesion. also, when his team is down points, unlike deron williams and chris paul, he chooses not to score but to turnover the ball himself. NASH DOES HAVE THE ABILITY TO BE A 2O PTS 10 AST GUY, HE JUST CHOOSES NOT TO DO IT. You can never count on him to get you back in a game from behind, he will just turn it over more. I AM A HUGE PHOENIX SUNS FAN, AND A HUGE NASH FAN. even i would LOVE TO SEE NASH GET THE HELL OFF THE TEAM. I WOULD ALSO LOVE TO SEE AMARE STOUDAMIRE GO WITH HIM.

Dont worry, Jersey. You will get your wish. Amare will be gone soon. Suns trying everything they can to unload him because they know he is going to walk anyway when his contract is up next year. If they can get ahigh caliber player in return I think they pull the trigger.
