Gregg: There was a report on profootballtalk.com earlier today that you underwent an x-ray yesterday. Do you care to comment on the report?

    Ben: Nope

Gregg: Is there any truth to the report?

    Ben:
I don't know, didn't you just ask me if I was going to comment on that?

At this point Roethlisberger uncomfortably laughed a few times.

Gregg: How is your back and ribs feeling after the Baltimore game?

    Ben: Fine.

Gregg: Have you had any complications from the injuries?

Ben: Not that I know of.

You could chop off one of Big Ben's legs and he's still gonna play. Besides that, they have a pretty good backup in Leftwich.

I wish everyone thought they were banged up and made the line drop.

TAMPA, Fla. -- Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said during Friday morning's news conference that quarterback Roethlisberger is fine for the Super Bowl.

"Ben's fine. He's going to play," Tomlin said.

Roethlisberger was drilled in the back during the AFC Championship Game, and has spent much of his time stretching his torso during practice this week.
Tomlin said he didn't have anything planned to tell the team before the game against the Arizona Cardinals. The coach says that when it comes to motivational speeches, he prefers to "wing it."
Tomlin, anticipating the media's line of questioning on another of his star players, said: "Hines is great."
Ward "looked pretty good" in Thursday's practice, according to Tomlin, and the team will "see where he is" after Friday's practice.
"We'll continue to push forward towards Sunday, but our mentality regarding Hines has not changed," Tomlin said. "He's intent on playing in the football game."
Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

I have no idea how sore Roethlisberger's ribs are, but let's be serious, what do you expect Tomlin to say? He's not about to stand up two days before the SB and say anything about any of his players not being 100 percent. We'll find out Sunday before 7 o'clock whether there's anything to this or not.

Pittsburgh is actually healthier now than they have been for about 2 months. Big Ben has a new injury every week and loves playing the hero role. He'll be fine come Super Sunday.

Big Ben could play with a tuba sticking out of his pooper.... c'mon the guy is tough as nails...I think he needs to have an injury to have this kinda drama before a game, he thrives on it....he might have narcissistic or borderline personality disorder

Yah, but he'd be a hell of a lot easier to tackle. Just grab him by the tuba and slam him to the ground. Prop bet over on sacks if this were the case.

Ok that mental picture was pretty funny...

If you include the "tuba" issue I would change the line to Steelers -5 1/2

well, the line might change to -5.5 with the tuba, but he also might accompany Bruce on song or two in his medley during the halftime show
