While I tend to break even or make short term profits more often then not I wish I had a desire to quit. Hell in a fantasy world where I made 5k-10k a year gambling I still would consider wanting to give it up. It gets old and wearing thinking about betting sports/playing cards/horses at any junction of the day and even worse is when you have money down pulling yourself away from your phone to check scores every 5 minutes is not worth it IMO.

Luckily I control my finances well and try to keep the urge or doing it away from family and non-gambling friends but its like a sickness that I consider myself fortunate of not being quite consumed by it entirely.

Not sure how to answer. I do it for a living so quitting is not an option.

Would I like to? I certainly hope to retire from it some day. But it won't be soon. If I won the lottery today, I would probably quit so I guess at the heart of it my answer is yes, I want to quit gambling.
