Downtown area? There's a good bar to duck into every three feet or so. Also some nice places over in the Station Square area on the south side of the river from downtown. Also a good sports bar in the Clark Bldg on the north side of the river from downtown.Comment -

If you want a more sports atmosphere, the North Side would probably be the best option. Right next to PNC Park and Heinz Field, a lot of sports bars. Grille 36 is pretty nice.Originally posted by Bet Shooter

Oh ok, that is in Bethel Park. About 10 mins from my house. There is a mall across the Street, and it is right in the middle of a suburban area. It's pretty easy to get around from there. Thanks for the insight, Willie and Element. Had a great time. Did the incline from the center. Did the strip and the south side. Not much to do there but eat and drink, but luckily those are my two favorite things. Crowne Plaza was nice and I was glad to be outside the city sleeping at night. The streets are a little tough to navigate with all the one ways and islands in the middle of the streets, but not as bad as Boston! Parmantis was great. We went to the original one on the strip. Had both steak and pastrami. Had an iron city beer too. Didn't know they still made that stuff. Grille 36 was the choice to watch the game. Drank all day and a great venue to watch football. Parking was easy and a bunch of people came down from the north side and walked to Heinz field after they won. Luckily the won and didn't cover, Nice day all around for me. (would have been nicer for me if the ended the game after the safety, but it was much more exciting this way.)
I also met a guy from the town were I grew up here in Connecticut. He lives there now. he is two years younger than me, but we went to the same High School. Small World. Told him about SBR, hope he checks it out.
