An Excellent Book That Nobody Talks About Anymore
    Intertops

This book was always in everbody's top ten and still might be but I never here them mentioned on the forums anymore. A true true pioneer book that has it all except lousy software.

Why does no one talk about it anymore??

    Do you play there??

Sometimes they offer 20% reloads which are nice. But their limits are sometimes $110 on some events and their software is below average. Reliable payouts though.

Well they had problems two years ago and made a comeback last year and just kind of fizzled out.

This is a Legacy book, no doubt about it. Came online in the early 90's under Simon Noble. A great book that gave way to competition somewhat and never overcame the departure of Simon N now of Pinnacle and Tim, now the GM at Easy Bets.

I like them much better than legendz. I would recommend them to any small player.

This place is like a throw-back in time book. The way their software looks right now is the way it looked in the early 90's. I remeber when we started their downgrades after some slow pays a couple of years ago, we had a lot of passionate I'Tops faithfull write us and complain. They have VERY loyal customers. Some have been there for over 10 years.

I'Tops is not for everyone because their cs is a little dry and their limits are very small. But they are a decent book still.

I don't use them a great deal due to some of the reasons stated already in this thread.....However, I always keep them hanging around as they can have some fairly opinionated lines from time to time in the NFL and NBA, particularly first halves and halftimes.

Thanks for the sum up John. Whats everyones opinion on that rule:

2.12 Bonus programs are intended for recreational bettors only. Professional players or players considered to be abusing the bonus system may have their bonuses as well as any winnings from wagers based on such bonuses forfeited and be subject to further sanctions, at the sole discretion of the Intertops.com management.

Imo there can never be a reason to take winnings from a "professional" player. This seems to be a rogue rule, because whats the exact definition of a pro? Also what does abusing a bonus system mean? Is someone betting into soft lines an abuser?

Right. Intertops is a real secret, having been mentioned in only 17 threads since May, including this one:

Sports betting and handicapping forum: discuss picks, odds, and predictions for upcoming games and results on latest bets.

Agreed. Books know that doesn't fly. Most who put that rule up see it as a deterrent for bonus abusers but many have gotten rid of it because it deters real players who wonder if they go on a run, will be seen as wiseguys?

A couple players recently wrote in that standard limits for everyone on some big chalk was $110 to win $1. Apparently they have limited risked amounts instead of doing it for base wagers.

Yes indeed at Intertops one has always limited risk amounts.

The limits on soccer are rather low most of the time but it can be worth a try to ask them to increase the limits. During the soccer WC I asked them to give me higher soccer limits and they increased the limits from originally 110 Euro to 550 Euro which are my new soccer limits until now. In US sports they have higher risk limits that increase during the day. In the period just before the game one can place 1100 Euro most of the time. There was a time where I was limited to 275Euro in US sports but anyhow they have lifted the limit again.

I think they have a decent active bettor base still and a pretty good book for the average internet player.

Someone mentioned BoDog vs Intertops and BoDog a lot of notches above this books
