    Directtv Question
Directv prices are ridicolous, I pay on an avg. of $200 per month because I have all the channels. If I gave a friend a couple of my receivers to his house about 30 miles away could he get the channels without paying a bill?

Are you dumb? Your dish has coaxial cables hooked to each receiver. Run some coax that far and it will.

I know DTV offers some type of platinum subscription and you can buy up to 10 receivers on it. I guess you could probably split the cost them with your friends.

If your friend puts up a dish.

You must be buying some PPV's along with your package. I got the top one, and pay 118 a month.

I think you know what this gentlemen is getting at Looker. It's too bad we don't know the answers he is seeking.

                Heres a protip for ya,

If you are an AAA member you are eligible for a $50 dollar discount every 6 months for the remainder of your current contract (usually under 2 years)

Secondly when you sign up for your service next time AAA has a link to a special directv site which offers nicely discounted plans form $10-30 off a month depending on package and also usually a free pay channel. I did this in my first apartment 4 years ago and got.

                Standard channels $29.99 ($49.99)
Free HD ($4.99 a month at the time)
                Free HBO 6 months

Sorry I don't have the link now but check this out if you are an AAA member.

Of course you can...i am doing it right now...i just have to purchase an HD directv dish and get someone to install it....and use one of the leased receivers from my brother...working like a charm in the last few years...

Check out craigslist and buy attenna from there cheap...

Waste of money because you never watch most stuff, most people need basic cable

Thats true. Like for me, I wish I could only pay for the HD channels. Because I don't watch the regular ones anymore. Just turn those things off, and let me pay for HD only.
